good morning. light out there now, fog-free on the golden gate bridge, nice drive heading south of marin county no delays here and looks like all four lanes are open for your southbound commute, two northbound. farther north, san rafael out of marinwood past lucas valley road and san pedro road moving nicely past civic center 101 south through all of marin county, eastbound caldecott tunnel right bore right lane looks like a stall blocking. train tracks in the central valley closed following amtrak crash and derailment, amtrak hoped to have the tracks back open by 5 a.m., that has not happened. video shows the scene in kings county. let's go to kira klapper. >> reporter: as you mentioned that deadline came and went a spokesperson only saying that

deadline to reopen damaged tracks in the central valley has been pushed to "later this morning." that's all they are saying this after yesterday's crash that lead to this scene, big rig driver failing to yield, hitting an amtrak train traveling south of fresno. the impact pushed two passenger cars and the locomotive off the tracks. 20 of the roughly 170 passengers traveling from oakland to bakersfield suffered minor to moderate injuries. the driver of the big rig was pinned inside the cab, was removed safely and wasn't seriously injured. investigators state crash happened at a crossing that does have gates to stop traffic. >> initial reports to us from witnesses state the arms were down as you know we will do an extensive investigation and determine that. >> reporter: also new this morning, amtrak spokesperson

saying there are no delays, but passengers who are traveling between bakersfield and hanford are being transported by bus. no delays in the bay area. kira klapper, abc7 news. new this morning pg&e working to restore power in berkeley following late night outage it started 8:00 last night at its height affected 13,000 customers in the city. pg&e tells us only 111 customers are still in the dark. the cause of the outage has not been determined. uniform supply company in concord will be cleaning up after fire ripped through the business last night the fire isn't up a huge column of smoke firefighters managed to keep it from getting inside the company building. the damage was kept to a pile of laundry outside the bidding. there were no injuries. this morning grief

counselors will be on the campus of albany middle school following apparent suicide of a popular teacher. students gathered last night to remember james izumizaki. he was arrested last week accused of having a sexual relationship with a student under the age of 14. albany police say he was found dead inside a car yesterday. terry mcsweeney will have more, coming up. this afternoon, san francisco man expected to enter a plea on charges of kidnapping a 9-year-old girl from parkside elementary in san mateo. prosecutors charged 25-year-old bradley mrozek with kidnapping and child low less . he groped the girl in a school bathroom, covered her mouth with his hand and carried her off campus investigators say she fought him off, ran back to the school and reported the crime. we are waiting to learn the identity of one of two mishing -- two missing fishermen whose body was found

along the san mateo coast their boat capsized sunday the coast guard called off the search 3:30 yesterday the family of one of the men found the body around 6:30 north of the pigeon point lighthouse. two other men on the boat wearing life vests made it safely to shore. governor brown's tax measure getting support from hollywood heavyweights. donated combined $100,000 to the initiative. the donations came to days before governor brown announced he signed bills extending 100 million dollar film tax credit until 2017. 6:06. time for a look at forecast, if you like it hot, you will like it again today. >> if you don't like it there is relief to be found in the bay area. relief late this afternoon at the coast.

breaking news. a border patrol agent was killed in a shootout near the u.s./mexico line in arizona this morning the area is known as a major drug smuggling corridor. another border patrol agent was wounded and airlifted to a hospital. one dead, one wounded no word on the wounded agent's condition. more information as soon as we get. you may have seen tv commercials for febreze air freshener. you may be wondering if the product works as advertised. michael finney has the results of a new consumer records test. >> reporter: good morning. consumer reports wanted to see if febreze really lives up to its ad. they did extensive tests. you might be surprised with the results. this febreze ad shows an experiment using an old goat,

sweaty body builder and day-old fish. a group of real people confirms it all stinks. then the room is treated with febreze air affects and blindfolded people are brought in. >> take a deep breath and tell me what it smells like? >> very springtimey. like flowery. >> reporter: consumer reports decided to do a sniff test of its own calling on brave volunteers. they were taken to a room where a cat litter box and sardines had been sitting for four hours. blindfolded confirmed the room smelled bad. then tester sprayed the room with febreze air effect. more blindfolded staffers were let in. >> very strong, -- [ inaudible ] >> it smells to be a lot like

>> update to breaking news story in vallejo fire crews keeping a close eye on a house fire that went to three alarms this morning on the 100 block of el camino real the home is gutted. it nearby brush so that caused extra concern. crews will be on the scene longer making sure everyone is okay. oprah is hoping tyler perry can bolster ratings at her struggling cable network. she has signed perry to a deal to develop scripted program for own. the deal takes per ray way from tbs and marks the first time scripted program will air on own. media analysts say perry's program should help attract younger viewers to the network. white house is an in pink in honor of breast cancer awareness month. 1600 pennsylvania avenue was one of several landmarks around the world basking in

into fremont, it is heavy, no major jam-ups on the nasty nimitz but starting to get busy. download this free app for yourself, abc7news.com/waze. >> grief counselors will be available at albany middle school today following apparent suicide of a teacher. terry mcsweeney is live at the school. >> reporter: this will be the second time in two weeks grief counselors have been called out to albany middle school. last week it was after he had been arrested for committing lewd acts with a minor under the age of 14, a former student. he this time it is because he has died, apparently, from suicide. you can see the memorial behind me, candles, flowers, pictures of mr. izumizaki coaching the boy's basketball team and the girls volleyball team out here at albany middle

school. last night this memorial was going up, parents and students came out as word spread of his death many police say the body of 28-year-old james izumizaki was found in a car in san lorenzo, a note was left, they say apparently a suicide the body found yesterday morning. he was very popular on campus still is with some people. one woman gave this perspective on this double tragedy. >> it is just this brokenness and sadness all the way around. i think that's what the whole community is holding, wanting to make sure our children are safe, at the same time we know him and how do we honor his life also. >> reporter: mr. izumizaki again a teacher out here, coach and the for all intents and purposes the at let tech director. he was out on bail next court appearance was set for october 24th. the investigation continued, he was scheduled for arraignment last friday that

was pushed back to october 24th. a lot of questions remaining, perhaps we'll get answers 8:30 this morning when the school district holds a news conference. terry mcsweeney, abc7 news. :34. the trial continues today for the east bay woman -- woman accused of killing a former friend and high school classmate, 28-year-old giselle esteban is accused of first degree murder in the death of nursing student michelle le last year. during opening statements esteban's attorney admitted she killed le but said it wasn't premeditated. prosecutors say esteban was threatened by le's relationship with her ex-boyfriend, the father of esteban's child. from southern california, a moderate quake shook the san diego area overnight. the magnitude 4.1 quake hit near pine valley 1:30 this morning, 45 minutes outside of san diego no word of injuries or damage. investigators in

santa rosa are looking for the person they say went on a molotov cocktail spree. this is the worst of the damage. doors at the catholic church in downtown santa rosa, charred by flame. investigators say whoever threw the molotov cocktail targeted the episcopal church minutes before, but that device failed to ignite. another molotov cocktail did ignite at the offices of a civil engineering firm. tonight and tomorrow a's will try to sweep rangers and win i a division title outright, can you imagine that. the team has secured a playoff spot way win last night. >> announcer: they are going to the post-season, unbelievable! >> with that the a's beat the rangers 4-3 at the coliseum locking up a wild card playoff
